Training Fund

Non-Destructive Testing is a crucial yet complex industry. As such, it is imperative that the personnel who operate in the industry must be correctly qualified and up-to-date in their training and education in order to carry out their duties.

The current Collective Agreement between the Non-Destructive Testing Management Association and the Quality Control Council of Canada outlines the provision for a Training Fund. For each hour worked, the employer makes a contribution to a Fund that is used to reimburse eligible members for education, training and licensing related costs.

Use the links on the left to learn which expenses incurred by a Member are eligible for reimbursement and how to submit your claim.

New National Training Fund effective July 1, 2011:

The Quality Control Council of Canada and the NDTMA are pleased to announce that beginning July 1, 2011 we are adopting the "NDT Industry National Training Trust Fund" as was endorsed by the membership in the last round of collective bargaining.

The new NDT Industry National Training Trust Fund ensures that all QCC members throughout Canada receive the same level of access to training opportunities and are no longer have regional restrictions or discrepancies on what is covered.

We are also pleased to report that the administration of all NDT Training and certification re-reimbursements will now be coordinated by the NDT Industry Pension and Health & Welfare plan administrators, DA Townley and Associates Ltd. We anticipate the members will have the same high level of service from DA Townley as they presently enjoy with Health & Welfare reimbursements
